Nexus 6: Moto X on Steroids

#Nexus 6

Google has just made the Nexus 6 Official and it's a Moto X on SteroidsGoogle on Wednesday took the wraps off the new Motorola-manufactured device, which as expected features killer specifications including a 5.96-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1440 pixels (498 pixels per inch), a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.7GHz processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3,200mAh battery and Android 5.0. You get the Moto logo along with a Nexus badge at back. The phone will be available in the following colours, cloud White or the Midnight Blue colours.

This is not only the biggest Nexus smartphone ever released but it’s also the first smartphone released so far that will run Android 5.0 right out of the box. Android 5.0, which Google also officially released on Wednesday, has several terrific new features including Google’s new Material Design user interface that incorporates animations, new actionable notifications that can be accessed directly from the lock screen, battery-saving features courtesy of Google’s Project Volta, and support for 64-bit architecture

The phone has the same metal structure of the Moto X and also presumably will have the same strength. The button locations are the same, and thanks to the minimal bezel design, the Nexus 6 should look a lot less big.

Google’s new Nexus 6 phablet will become available for pre-order beginning October 29th, and its release will follow in November.
