Meizu launched M2 with 2GB RAM, 4G enabled for Rs. 6,999.
Last week, Meizu has launched its 4G budget smartphone M2 in india priced at Rs. 6,999. Meizu m2 will be exclusively available via Snapdeal. Company has already opened registrations for the smartphone, which will go on sale from October 12.
In term of specifications, The device sports a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) IPS HD display with pixel density of 296ppi and Dragontrail glass protection to keep scratches at bay and comes with a polycarbonate unibody design. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled by 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and Mali T720 GPU. The handset's screen-to-body ratio is 75.6 percent. The Meizu m2 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the Flyme UI 4.5.
The Meizu m2 comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear snapper of Aperture f/2.2, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective lens glass and LED flash, and a front-facing 5-megapixel selfie camera of Aperture f/2.0, FotoNation 2.0 smart selfie enhancement, and Face AE face light boost functionality. Device equips Samsung-made 16GB inbuilt eMMC 5.0 flash storage, expandable upto 128GB using a microSD card slot. Also noted is that the device's second SIM slot also doubles as a microSD card slot.
With 2,500mAh non-removable battery, connectivity options on the smartphone supports 4G FDD-LTE, TD-LTE, GPS, A-GPS, dual-band Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, among other things. The smartphone supports the 1800MHz FDD-LTE band in India, but misses out on the 2300MHz TDD-LTE band. It’s a dual SIM smartphone that supports 4G LTE connectivity on both SIM 1 and SIM 2. Measuring 68.9x8.7x140.1mm, the smartphone weighs 131 grams and is backed by a Sony-made 2500mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 23 hours of talk time on 2G, 10 hours of internet surfing on 4G and 680 hours of standby time.
In addition, the company claims to have 46 customer service centres across 33 cities in India to ensure service levels meet the expectation of consumers across the country. Meizu M2 is available in a wide range of colours - white, blue, grey and pink.The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, wrapped under Flyme OS 4.5. At this price point, the smartphone will go heads-on with the likes of Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G, Phicomm Passion P660 and Motorola’s Moto E 4G (2015).
