Asus announced 3 new Zenpad tablets with Corning Gorilla Glass, Android 5.0 starting from Rs 8,999
After Launching Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 (Review), Asus ZenFone Selfie, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 last month. Recently Asus announced it all new three voice- calling tablets Asus Z170CG, Asus Zenpad 7 Asus Zenpad 8 for Rs. 8,999, Rs.11,999 and Rs.14,999 respectively. According to the company, the ZenPad 7.0 is now available to buy, while the ZenPad 8.0 and ZenPad C 7.0 will go on sale from October end.The voice calling tablets supports only single micro-SIM slot and is 4G compatible.
The Asus ZenPad 8.0 comes with an 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display with an Oleophobic coating. It measures 8.5mm thick and weight 350 grams. The ZenPad 8.0 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC paired with Adreno 405 GPU. Device is coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage and expandable upto 64GB. It will support an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-camera with 140 degree selfie panorama. The ZenPad 8.0 will be priced at Rs 14,999 without the audio cover and Rs 17,999 with an audio cover.It is powered packed with a 4000 mAh battery. It will be available in two colours - Obsidian Black, Aurora Metallic. Asus offers optional pressure sensitive stylus for ZenPad 8.
While, Asus has also announced 7-inch Zenpad Z370CG which has a 7-inch IPS HD display and is powered by Intel Atom processor. It has 7-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and 3,450mAh battery rated at 8 hours. Other features of the ZenPad 7.0 include 16GB of internal memory, an 8 megapixel main camera with auto-focus, and a 2 megapixel front camera. The Asus Zenpad Z370CG is priced at Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 with the audio cover. Unlike Asus ZenPad 8.0, It is available in two colours - Obsidian Black, Aurora Metallic.
Both will be running on the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with ZenUI atop . They will be equipped with the ZenMotion gesture support. Users will also get 5GB Asus Web Storage space for life with an additional 11GB for the first year and 100GB of Google Drive space for two years.This is aided by Asus' True2Life+ technology to maximize sharpness and contrast on the display. It is further aided by the use of a two-layer display that yields a more vivid image according to the company.
Asus C7.0 (Z170CG) offers 7-inch display with 1GB RAM and 7-inch screen with a lower resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It has 8GB internal storage and 5GB web storage from Asus and 100GB Google Drive storage for 2 years. This particular tablet is priced at Rs 8,999.
