5 facts about Satoru Iwata

He was the CEO of Nintendo and Nintendo of America since 2000 and he helped Nintendo out of some dark patches as well. Even before he worked for Nintendo, he worked for HAL labortory. He helped to make games like BallonFight, EarthBound and Kirby. When HAL labortory was a the verge of bankrupthy he became CEO and then helped to fix the finances of the company. He helped to develop the Pokémon Gold and Silver Games and Pokemon Stadium. After Hiroshi Yamauchi retired as the CEO of Nintendo, he suiccedded as the fourth Nintendo President and helped the company regain sales with the Nintendo DS and the Wii. Lastly when the company was having less sales, he actually paid for some of his losses with his own salary, with I think is the most bravest move ever.

But now after batting the Illness for over a year, he has died. Game companies are paying their respects to the man who literally saved Nintendo.

Following are the 5 facts you missed about the legend :-

1. Iwata Had Been Dealing With Health Issues for More Than a Year.

2. He Began Working at Nintendo in the 1980s & Helped Create Some of Its Early Video Games

3. He Was Named as the Fourth President in Nintendo’s History in 2002

4. He Started Working on VideoGames While He Was in High School

5. He Recently Began Moving Nintendo Into the Smartphone Gaming Market
