Micromax Launches Bolt Q331, Bolt Q338 and Bolt S302 in India.

Yesterday Micromax has expanded its Bolt series by launching three new smartphones namely Bolt S302, Bolt Q331, and Bolt Q338, priced at Rs. 3,199, Rs. 4,999, and Rs. 6,499, respectively. The company is also offering 200MB of free Internet data only for WhatsApp or talk time worth Rs. 40 per month for five months from Airtel. 

"Around 70-80 million Indians convert from their feature phones to smartphones every year and more and more consumers will use a smartphone for their initial computing and Internet needs leapfrogging the PC and laptop generation. We believe that smartphones will play a significant role in meeting PM's 'Digital India' vision to connect the next billion. Micromax, being a front runner in the sub 7.5k mass segment handsets, has taken a step ahead in its philosophy of democratizing technology to the masses and has come up with a special program to enable the consumers to take the next technological leap towards the smartphones from feature phones," said Shubhajit Sen, CMO, Micromax Informatics during the launch.



The Micromax Bolt Q331 sports a 5-inch (480x854 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by a quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731G) processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 512MB of RAM. It also runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and It comes along with 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash alongside a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Bolt Q331 packs a 2000mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include 3G , Bluetooth , Wi-Fi and USB. The smartphone is backed by a 2000mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 7.5 hours talk time, and 360 hours of standby time.
The Bolt Q338 has a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) IPS display. Device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6580) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone runs on latest Android Lollipop 5.1 and It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The phone comes with 8GB built-in storage and 32GB expandable via microSD. Connectivity options include 3G , Bluetooth , Wi-Fi and USB.



The Bolt S302 has a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) TFT display and is powered by a 1GHz single-core Spreadtrum (SC7715) processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4.3 It comes with 4GB of built-in storage, supports 32GB of expandable storage via microSD. The phone sports 2-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. It is powered packed by a 1,450 mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 4 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, A-GPS, and 3G.

Preloaded apps on the Micromax Bolt smartphones include Chaatz, CleanMaster, Newshunt, SwiftKey, Snapdeal, Saavn, Quikr, Hike, and Hotstar apps. Also onboard is the Firstouch launcher. The dual-SIM smartphones support 3G connectivity and come pre-loaded with Firstouch, a translator app. The app, besides translating English language to native language, also lets users access apps in App Bazaar in their preferred language.
