Is REAL STEEL going to be real?

Not very long back, american robot building company Megabots Inc. challenged the Japanese company Suidobashi Heavy Industry into real life robo war. And the CEO of the japan-based giant robot building company hasn't held back from expressing his affirmation to the challenge. The Suidobashi founder Kogoro Kurata took to youtube to upload a visual 'YES' to the duel.

"Just building something huge and sticking guns on it -- it's.. Super American." The taunting comments came from Kurata after Megabots challenged the japanese team to the battle a few weeks back.

Talking about the robots, the one built by the american team weighs almost 6 tons and is called Mark 2. The robot is controlled by a team of two and can fire three pound cannonballs at a speed of 100mph. Whereas, the one produced by the Suidobashi team is 4.5 tons in weight, making it lighter and hopefully quick, is loaded with latest aiming mechanism and heads-up display.

MegaBots in their own youtube video called the battle a "duel" and has offered Suidobashi to decide the rendezvous. MegaBots Inc. said the robowar is going to happen in almost an year. The two countries are facing each other again, but this time, it is a robo war "And its a must-win", says Kuarata.

"We can't let any other country win this. Giant robots are Japan's culture.", said Kurata in his Youtube video.
