Rooting your phone is not a new thing but rooting is not your day to day routine. Its not difficult as rocket science but its also not simple as switching on your phone. Rooting phones may have various method but precautions having before root is same for all devices.
Rooting will break your warranty and also it can not be covered in any mobile insurance . So having some precaution its not a bad deal. IN this I will share some commonly made mistakes in rooting and flashing ROMs.
This is not a hi fi article a simple article of don’ts of flashing roms and rooting….
So when not to root or flash a rom,

1. if You Don’t Have Your Device Driver Installed IN Your PC :-

Having proper device driver is necessity because without drivers you can not connect your phone with your pc.

2. If you don’t Know About Boot loader And Custom Recovery :-

 

On most of the devices you  have to unlock boot loader to install a  custom recovery like CWM and TWRP. These recovery help to install roms from zip files also help to back up data. And if some thing goes wrong you can recover your phone anytime by recovery. So please read about custom recovery for your phone Google about it and read it.

3. If You Don’t Know Basic Commands of ADB :-

 

With help of adb you can connect your phone in recovery mode with your pc. So if something went wrong and your device get bricked than you can access your devices with adb command and you can recover it.

4. IF You Don’t Have Enough Battery In Your Phone :-

 

yes this might be possible but you should keep in mind that you have to charge your phone at least 50%.

5. If You Don’t Have A PC:-

Having is pc is a must in case of any failure . You can root and flash roms without pc but having a pc is a good thing.
